Stéphanie Dion is currently the International Strategy Advisor for the VP Research & Innovation at Polytechnique Montréal. She contributes to position the expertise of Polytechnique on the international stage and builds relationships with a variety of stakeholders. Stéphanie is an agent of change operating with a transversal and collaborative approach to engage the university’s stakeholders in the internationalization process. She supports the development of strategic actions and coordinates the execution of multilateral initiatives.
Prior to Polytechnique, Stéphanie was the Director of International Affairs at Université de Montréal where she led the university’s international strategy. Prior to that, she worked at the Bureau for Inter-University Cooperation in Quebec. Through different mandates advising VPs International, she conducted large projects to encourage universities’ international partnerships, fostered collaboration with organizations from Canada and abroad and gained an in-depth understanding of the issues and challenges related to universities’ international development.
Stéphanie holds a Master degree in International Management (MBA) from Université Laval (Québec), partly realized at Tecnológico de Monterrey (Mexico). She has been active in the field of internationalization of higher education for the last twenty years, working in Mexico, Brazil, Costa Rica and Canada. She speaks French, English, Spanish and Portuguese.
