Registration is free of charge. You can register yourself and also other colleagues (up to 10 people).

After you have registered, you will receive two emails: one from Eventbrite with your ticket, and 15 min later, one from SCHED inviting you to create your username and password (these will be your  SCHED login details to access the conference each time).

Once you have your SCHED login details, you can select the session(s) you would like to attend and be able to see the ZOOM link to join your selected sessions.

Soichiro Yasukawa has MS in architecture from Kyoto University and MS of public administration from Columbia University. Soichiro Yasukawa has been a Programme Specialist on disaster risk reduction (DRR) at Natural Sciences Sectors of UNESCO since 2013 and been a specialist on geo-hazards disaster risk reduction and a coordinator of DRR activities in UNESCO/focal point of UN DRR group, before becoming Chief of the DRR Unit. He manages projects on securing building safety, earthquake early warning, DRR on UNESCO designated sites in the UNESCO Headquarters and coordinates projects in the Field Offices.

Prior to UNESCO, Soichiro Yasukawa worked on building code and urban development in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of the Japanese government and disaster preparedness and response in the Japanese Cabinet Office of Disaster Risk Reduction from 1998 to 2013.
