Pedro Fernandez is an agronomic engineer and holds a PhD in Biological Science. Currently, he is a postdoctoral researcher in Humboldt University-Berlin at the Lab of Biogeography Conservation.He is a fellow of CUOMO Foundation and the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA) at the Institute of Animal Investigation of Dry Chaco.He was also an IPCC fellow during his PhD. From the beginning of his career, he has been interested in the environmental and productive performances of cattle ranching in dry woodlands at different scales. He is currently interested in differences in land management of different ranching systems in South American dry woodlands, and the pathways to lessen their environmental trade-offs. He also works close to cattle ranchers, helping to capture economic value.
