Title of Presentation: Discovery of novel microbial natural products to tackle infectious and neglected tropical diseases

Abstract: Fundación MEDINA is a non-profit organization focused on microbial natural products drug discovery. As reference center in natural products research, MEDINA harbors one the largest microbial collections and natural products libraries. We are engaged in collaborative drug discovery programs worldwide to identify new bioactive compounds to be developed as new treatments that might respond to most urgent needs in infectious and neglected tropical diseases. The presentation will present current research programs with international organizations in the field that will be discussed as examples of our collaboration models.
