Clensy Appavoo
Clensy, an FCCA, holds an MBA in “Global Business Strategy” from Oxford University and a Degree in
“Management Information Systems and Computer Science”. He is the founder member and Chief
Executive Officer of HLB Mauritius, a local business conglomerate that specializes in Finance,
Management and Development.
He took part in the ROSC initiative of the World Bank for the structuring of the Accountancy
profession in Mauritius has served as the President of Business Mauritius (ex-Mauritius Employers
Federation) and currently sits on various Boards of Directors and strategic committees in both the
private and public sectors. He participates actively in different business forums, Boards of Trustees, and Foundations which gives him the opportunity to conduct social work at different levels. He is the
Worldwide Leader for the Non-For-Profit sector of HLB International which has a presence in more
than 160 countries in the world and he is a prominent proponent of the UN Global Compact.
Clensy is actually leading his team to implement a structured ESG Project within HLB Mauritius
besides offering a complete range of services to the business community to enable Mauritius to
realize it net-Zero Agenda with the 2030 horizon.
