This panel will discuss new opportunities to organize and strengthen initiatives that contribute to supporting women in situations of high vulnerability through partnerships between civil society organizations, the private sector and international organizations focused on the empowerment of women and the impacts on the development of their families. The most relevant initiatives have often been based on strategies that focus on SDGs 1, 5 and 17 in an integrated manner. The Mascara Mais Renda (MMR) project, developed by Fundação Vale and Rede Asta, has been sponsored by more than 20 companies, is an example of a collaborative network capable of generating income and offering benefits to society. This network remains active and inspires new schemes to support women capable of changing their own destiny and developing their communities, such as the coconut breakers present in Northern Brazil.
