Rahel is a co-founder of Kilimanjaro Innovation Hub (KIH). KIH is established with a broad social entrepreneurial vision of capacity building of the youths, empowering with skills to remove insecurity and instill confidence. Envision a nation free from unemployment and ensure fruitful engagement in the economic development of the country by attaining innovation, entrepreneurship and digital literacy.
Rahel is a self-motivated professional with a proven track record of success in project cycle management, social marketing, networking and advocacy, management and leadership. Proven ability to restructure failing programs to improve productivity, effectiveness and raise necessary funds (organization transformational leadership). Rahel is a good communicator who developed massive and well-accepted communication campaigns. She provides coaching, mentorship and training.
Rahel is the Country Director of the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) Ethiopia who is responsible to lead and manage the Ethiopia office, strategically aligning the country’s programs with the overall CHAI program strategy, programmatic and financial planning/reporting, fundraising, and monitoring and evaluation efforts for all work areas. She manages relationships across all stakeholders ranging from Government leadership, Ministry technical experts, in country partners, to global counterparts within CHAI and donors. Prior to joining CHAI, Rahel worked for Marie Stopes Tanzania for five years as a Deputy Country Director and spent eight years with DKT Ethiopia, leading the marketing and communication innovations of the varied social marketing programs and products.
Rahel holds a PhD from Bulacan State University of the Philippines in Business Administration, Masters in Organizational Leadership from Azusa Pacific University, California, MBA and BA from Pune University in India.
