Registration is free of charge. You can register yourself and also other colleagues (up to 10 people).

After you have registered, you will receive two emails: one from Eventbrite with your ticket, and 15 min later, one from SCHED inviting you to create your username and password (these will be your  SCHED login details to access the conference each time).

Once you have your SCHED login details, you can select the session(s) you would like to attend and be able to see the ZOOM link to join your selected sessions.

Dr. Sheikh Fayaz Ahmad

Dr. Sheikh Fayaz Ahmad is a Post-PhD innovation researcher at the School of Management, Zhejiang University, China. He holds M.Phil and PhD from the Center for Studies in Science Policy, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He is a co-editor of the book titled ‘Informal Sector Innovations: Insights from Global South’, (Routledge, Taylor and Francis, 2015). His major research interests include non-formal frugal grassroots innovations, informal economy, and development. He is also interested in the economic history of innovations and is currently engaged in exploring the dynamics of 'secondary innovations' and ‘frugal digital innovations’ in China with Prof. Xiaobo Wu. Journals such as Oxford Development Studies, International Planning and Development Review, and Journal of Rural Studies have published some of his recent papers. He also contributed to the Handbook on Alternative Theories of Innovation (Edward Elgar, 2021) and the upcoming Handbook on Frugal Innovations (Edward Elgar, 2022). He is currently co-editing a special issue on ‘Rethinking Innovation and Development Discourses in Light of COVID-19’ for Science Technology and Society, Journal.
